You can ask us to delete your FICO account and the personal data attached to it at any time, and you don't have to give a reason. This page says what happens when you do.
How to ask
Send us a deletion request — the form arrives with the right subject already selected. Write from the email address on your account if you can; if you can't, tell us which address the account uses so we can find it.
You can also email info@ficoworking.com directly. Either way we answer within one month, which is the deadline Article 12 GDPR sets us.
What gets deleted
Your account and your sign-in, your name, email address and phone number, your entry in the members' directory if you had switched it on, your session records, and your enquiries to us. After this you can no longer sign in, and the door will no longer open on your credits.
What we have to keep, and for how long
Spanish tax and accounting law requires us to keep records of transactions — what was paid, when, and by whom — for several years after the financial year they fall in. We cannot delete those on request, and neither can anyone else: the obligation is on us, not a choice we are making. Article 17(3)(b) GDPR is the provision that says so.
What we do instead is reduce them to the minimum the obligation needs. Your bookings stop being linked to a person you could be identified from, and what remains is an accounting record rather than a profile. When the retention period runs out, that goes too.
Card details are not ours to delete — we never hold them. They sit with Stripe, our payment processor, under its own privacy policy, and Stripe is bound by the same kind of obligation.
Before you ask
Deleting your account does not refund unused credits, and we cannot restore them afterwards. If you have a balance you would rather use, use it first. If you think something has gone wrong with your balance, talk to us before deleting — after deletion there is no record left for us to look into.
If what you want is a break rather than an ending, you don't need this page at all: an account with no credits costs nothing and does nothing.
Your other rights
Deletion is one of several rights you have. You can also ask for a copy of your data, have it corrected, or object to a particular use of it — our privacy policy explains each one and how to complain to the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos if you are unhappy with our answer.
